Seven in the Morning
Scotland, 2013
Digital camera + analogue lens Helios 44m
In my early twenties, I moved to Scotland with the goal of saving money for my studies in Poland.
This series reflects my experience of living far from home for the first time, balancing the excitement of discovering a new place with the homesickness and uncertainty of working as a non-English-speaking labourer.
All photographs were taken during morning walks between seven and eight o'clock, on the rare sunny mornings that broke through Aberdeen's cloudy weather.
